MUSICAL ACTS
Live bands and musicians will perform for your listening pleasure. Among the many acts you'll hear:
The Strugglers (Jan. 17) with Burd Early. Melancholy folk rock with weighted words resembling linguistic cubism from their latest release, "The New Room" (Tract Records).
Siamese Connection (Jan. 22). A warm yet moody representation of the spiritual life of a downtown crackie.
Dimmer Switch (Jan. 23) Uniquely infused 70's soul that uses conspicuous indie-rocker instrument passing to keep those frowns turned upside down.
KUMA (Jan. 24). Frontman Kevin Olsen and gang rock out to celebrate the upcoming release of their first full-length CD, "Up to Now You've Had It Easy." A free 3-song sampler from the soon-to-be released full-length album will be available. Visit the KUMA website.
Grant Hudson (Feb. 7 @ 8:30) will be playing after the reading of Kiss of the Spider Woman (see Short-run Events above), so feel free to hang out and enjoy the music, before the next show starts at 10pm, "Platonov! Platonov! Platonov!
Keep checking back to find out about new bands. If you or your band would like to play one evening, email the Stampede Fest Director at feedtheherd@hotmail.com or call 212.489.1632
